This is a double plant design. The first plant is a station with a
capacity of 450MW.It consists of four turbine units each of 25MW,
and seven larger units each of 50MW. It also contains 12 boilers
with an aggregate capacity of 3340 tonnes of steam per hour. The
heat power of the station is 803 Gcal/h. Its first turbine unit was
commissioned in 1941 and the last one in 1962. It uses fuel-gas and mazout az fuel, and sea water as the condenser cooling medium.
The second plant has a design capacity of 220MW, generated out
of two turbine units each of 50MW, and two others each of 60MW.
There are also five boilers each raising 420 tonnes of steam per hour.
The heating power of the station is 654 Geal/h. The first turbine unit
was put into operation in 1966, and the second in 1972. This second
plant also uses the same fuel and cooling medium as the first plant.
